Congrats on the completion of this 598 card set. Anytime you can finish a set this size it is a true accomplishment. Nice 8.55 rating with your last card being Ryan rookie in 8. I know you waited awhile on that card and finnally nabbed it. Great job!!!!

I haven't been checking the registry lately...that one snuck up on me. Very impressive set!

On my birthday I sniped myself the Ryan/Koosman 8 I'd been waiting for. Must give MAJOR PROPS to RED-ZONE the seller for delivery the card to me in under 24 hours! It is so nice I am seriously considering having it looked at again. It looks like the Lack of bold color on the Koosman image could be the only reason this didn't 9, so it's probably worth a shot. Anyway, thanks for noticing--and now it's time to refocus on 1967.
Happy and safe holidays to all--

I have many 1933 Goudey HOFers in PSA 3-5. I love this set and still think in the back of my mind that I will complete it. Knowing that I would never spend even PSA 4 money for the Lajoie, I will not register them. Prices for the low grades have been steadily climbing.
Didn't see you at the Fort last Friday, but then again your a lot smarter then me by not driving thru that blizzard.
Hope to hook up with you in March....jay

Great job. Now that your done I might be able to pick up some 9’s for my 68 set.
Michael
Neal--I hear you on the 33 Goudeys. Tough to get. As far as preferred cards, what is your favorite Petey? If I'm going to own one Babe card, which one? Leaning towards the full body photo of the '33 set, standing with a bat.

CHEERS!!
One Kuestion---
Will there be BEER available?

As far as Pete - toss up between the 79 Burger King, 1964 or 1967 Topps. The BK is his first Phils card, and the first Pete I had ever got. The 67 is a great card, and if I ever find one in a PSA 9 that is centered I will find a way to buy it. The 1964 should have been his rookie.
Here is why. Back on June 10th, 1981, after months of saving, my parents took me to "Mid Atlantic Coin Exchange" in Bryn Mawr PA to buy the 63 rookie. This was the first time I was going to see his rookie and on the ride up I tried to think of what it would look like let alone what a 1963 Topps would look like. I had the 64 already and thought it was a great card. This was the beginning of the "rookie card movement" in the 80's, so I thought his rookie HAD to look nice. I was a little disapointed at first glance, and I remember two comments: my Dad saying I was crazy to spend 80 on a baseball card and my Mom saying that she thought the card would look a lot nicer - I think she was looking forward to seeing it as well. Anyway, I paid $80 for the card (it had a BV of 65) and then we went to the Vet, where the Phightins beat the Astros and Pete tied Musials NL mark. We went back two months later (the strike) to see Pete break the record. During the strike, the CPU (Card Prices Update - I wish I still had a back copy) came and the price was $110 .... of course I had to show my Dad the increase on my investment.
Mmmmmmmm........YES!!!
Icy cold and frosty.........Just the way it should be...
