A very nice Wildman design and a pretty good rendering of Kaiser Willy!! What are the dark colorations that appear greenish here?

Mark, I just looked at the piece under 10X and it appears that it is impurities in the cast itself. The verdict is still out on the piece as to my deciding to own it. It has a very strange appearnace, almost as though the piece had been gilded. Under 10X that isn't the case but I haven't seen a piece with these characteristics before. I have asked the seller where he acquired it. It isn't a forgery by any means but something is unusual about it. I have also asked a dealer friend if he has seen another example of this piece to see if the characteristics I have pointed out are prevalent with this medal or not.

I have been viewing this piece on approval and have decided it does not fit in with the general overall look of my Goetz collection primarilly due to the coloring of the medal. Instead of immediately sending this back to Germany, I thought I would ask if anyone might be interested in purchasing this piece for the same asking price that the seller wants...245 Euro ( $300). Cosmic? This is the 80mm cast piece as opposed to the other 50mm cast and 50mm struck versions. Let me know. Thanks.

Scott I would love to buy it but like you the discoloration takes away too much from the piece to pay anywhere near full retail. Plus my coin budget has been spent for the year. I need to save a few dollars for the NYINC in January.

It's actually not the discolorqation that bothers me...It is the bronze gilt-like color on the piece. My collection hinges on the chocolate brown coloration.

Oh Ok. You want all pieces to be similar in THAT LOOK.
