Question about T227s

Anyone know anything about this set? I couldn't find it in PSA's set registry or Pop guide in 1912. Does PSA even grade these?

Not sure where you're looking, but they do grade these:

    1912 T227 SERIES OF CHAMPIONS RUBE MARQUARD BASEBALL 3 0 1 0 0 0 0 4

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Try looking under miscellaneous. You will not find it under baseball as this set commemorates champions from many sports, not just baseball

Nice little set, just 4 cards that are of baseball players, Cobb, Baker, Marquard and Bender, all HOFers. They come up occasionally, mostly in mid to lower grades.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

I think the Cobb card from this series is one of his best cards. Very colorful, larger card, with Cobb in his swing. T227 Cobb picture

These came from 2 different chaw distributors: Miner's Extra and Honest Longcut.
The Miner's are probably more sought after as it was the company's only baseball cards, i think.
you may need to search under those name's vs. T227.

    I love these things.

    did someone ask for pictures?
notice the SGC "logic" of not labeling this as T227 under the primary issue, so no T227's show up in their bewildering pop. report..........I won't even go into my thougts on the pitiful grade.

Similarily, D359's are not categorized as such , rather by the 2 obscure baking company's that issued the same sister sets (nobody collects them separatly that I know of)...of course this would be less frustrating IF they would simply read the invoice OR even the card back before mis-labeling.

yes murcer I asked for pictures.

BTW when are you going to start collecting beanie babies and sell your cards?

Edited to add : If you are showing the Williams Baking, you gotta show your Plank. That is so cool!

edited: they are indeed under Misc.
interesting to see that more than half the Cobb's graded were psa1 or 2.
