Is 1970 Basketball a dead set?

I am curous. I have listed 17 PSA 8 and PSA 9 cards on eBay and have not received even one bid in seven days. I only have one card that has over 10 views. This is the first time that I have listed this many cards and have it appear that there is no interest in them. Is this a case of poor timing, or a very low interest set?

Marty- Your cards should be doing really well and I am at a loss to explain why there is not tons of interest. Not too long ago, the 1970 and 1969 sets were red hot. There were a handful of collectors who were paying many times the SMR for common cards from these two sets.

Maybe collectors were competing for the registry awards and now that the registry awards have been handed out, the collectors have backed off a little. Wes

MARTY - I've noticed that eBay is a different game then even a year ago. A year ago there were many early bids and just a handful of snipes later. Now it seems very few show their hands early, and set their snipes for the end of the auction. So you may be pleasantly surprised when the auctions end...jay

Just too much supply lately. The prices for psa 8 commons have dropped from $20 to $25 just a couple of months ago, to $10 to $15. You can't hardly give away a psa 7 any more.
It's probably a great time to hop on board with this set.

As a side note, jtcards has sold a lot of basketball lately. He raised his minimum bid on his 1970's from under $10/common for psa 8's up to approximately $14.99 on his auctions ending Dec. 4th. He didn't get a bid on the vast majority. I hope you finish strong, but the snipers may not be there.
