A commemorative celebrating the breakdown of constitutional rights??

Or, even better, one commemorating FDR's great gold grab of 1933??

HEY..if you are going to mint zillions and want them to last 1000's of years you use a simple design, mint them in Kriptonite........... and it works, unfortunately........image

How about this-- a coin that's only slightly different from a regular circulation coin and has to be bought for $55 encased in a huge leatherette-covered album celebrating a relatively minor event?

Oops, the RCM already beat me to it with this. image

Askari, perhaps your idea could be used...tied into a lunar series, and made into a 10-12 coin set where Dahmer eats a different body part on each new issue.

RCM could then issue a coin that commemorates the entire series. Then they could sell a colorized version, then a holo version.

I suppose they could then alter the packaging slightly and sell it all over again as a seperate item.
Oh, wait... they already do that.

You've got that right. There are some pathetic designs on those quarters. I can't wait to see the designs they have for Wyoming and Colorado - a couple of rectangles.
