Can PCGS break the mint set for me?

Hello David,
I have recently obtained a couple of US Mint Proof sets that are the 'No S' errors (1983 & 1990). I wish to send them to PCGS for their experts
to evaluate but have deep reservations about my breaking the mint packaging apart.
I have a fear that I could damage the No S error coins in the process. The mint package seems safest for shipping etc until they are moved to the PCGS holders. Do you have suggestions?
Thanks,
CLif
