The Big 30 isn't so bad. It's just that your young adult years have officially come to an end and now you are an adult whereas before you were a young adult probably going wild in your roaring twenties.
Those pains you used to get in the back and knees are not going to go away like before, you'll have to make sure you start watching your health because of how brutal you were to your body in the young adult years.

That's because your memory was over half gone by that age.
My 30th is coming up this October - keep me posted so I know what to look forward to. I'm really trying to be optimistic...
By the way, I heard adult diapers are actually kinda convenient! And, when people call at 9 p.m. they'll ask, "Did I wake you?"

My birthday was also yesterday. I turned 35 and it was quickly pointed out by a co-worker, I'm now closer to 50 than I am 20. Oh well.
In the immortal words of Peter Gammons, you're only young once but you can always be immature.

Happy Birthday young man. Now you are half my age. LOL. Have a great day.

I was just sitting here writing out those 2 checks to you for the 66's and I see it's your Birthday.... Happy Birthday!!
I know I said I was going to mail the checks a couple of days ago... but you'll have to excuse me ... I'm old and half senile already.... and I forget to do things.
I tell you what... I'll slip in a couple of those minty hockey cards I was telling you about as a Birthday present.
Enjoy your B-Day and don't think of it as getting old.... think of it as getting closer to being Vintage.
Mike
I'll try and keep off the streets of Evansville tonight. I'm sure there will be a lot of drunken partiers out celebrating!

A belated happy birthday. I think it is time however that you consider a moniker change. May I suggest "SuperMiddleAgedMan13". I don't think it is taken.
I would also suggest that you are using the wrong tests for age. May I suggest:
If your age is larger than your waist size ........ then you might be an old man.
If you have more hair in you ears than on your head......... then you might be an old man.
If you meet the new young woman bank teller, and she reminds you of your daughter ..... then you might an old man.
Drum roll please ...................
If you remember when a pack of cards cost less than a gallon of gas ......... then you might be an old man.
Happy Birthday and looks like some pretty nice cards too.

Thanks for the update. I just eventually gave up on the new stuff becuase I couldn't keep track of it all, couldn't collect it all, and couldn't even find it all.
Am at a great disadvantage here as I have not found much in my area as far as card shops go. I found that the area here (metro Phoenix) is so new that no one brought any old cards with them and the few shops that are here now are small with limited inventory. No one was here when the cards were new so it is a real challenge to find much locally. Newer issues are a complete mystery to me except for the fact that when I pick up a Beckett, everything I collect is in a couple of pages and then there is this large book that follows with the newer stuff. I find it simply amazing.
