Finally got a New Merc. Update..another one. And another one.

No not from Heritage..image still waiting on those, and not from Carolina Gold.. image still waiting on it also, but from Carl Wohlworth, it was purchased three days ago, image not three weeks ago like the others. image

This is a 30P PCGS MS67 coin. There is a little story about this coin but if I tell you the story you will for sure think the Fairlaneman is a real putz or maybe even something worse.

    Hi Ken,

Waiting is a bummer, but that is a nice 30-P for sure. Wish I could find something to buy. What could possibly be worse than a real putz?

There really is not much difference between the two coins. The 67 on the obverse is mark free with real nice luster. The reverse is nice but a couple of ticks are present. The slab has scrapes on it so the reverse did not picture well.

I looked at the 64 coin again today. You had better take a good look at it and see if you want to question PCGS on it. I still really like that coin.

Yep there is something worse than a real Putz. How about a slow thinking, wishy washey, can't make up the mind real Putz. In other words on this coin, which I saw before Carl did, the head was up the patute when it was not purchased then.

    Ken,

I wish you wouldn't talk about me that way! image If you need me, I'll be over at the B & M site bidding everything up.

Heritage came in today. Man I am glad you guys did not want this 29P. As usual the Heritage picture was way dark and the coin looks much better. This one is nothing, color wise, compared to some of the others received. If time permits I will show off for sure. Hmmm.....you are thinking geez whats new. image

Ken: I'm very disappointed in you. With a little more effort, you could have paid 5X as much on the 1930 and gotten that band a little more defined! image

    Very nice!

Actually the middle band is much closer too full. A scrape is right there on the slab. FB dimes are way cool, if they are within reason price wise. I'll take these almost coins in high grade anyday. image
