eBay "educational" credit

I listed a 1998-S SMS 50c MS69 on eBay as a featured listing for $19.95 more.

The winning bidder made 5 bids on it with a feedback of (3) and didn't pay. I got my final fee credit, but since I paid $20 extra to get the flake to bid on it, I called eBay to compain about the $19.95

At first he said there was nothing he could do, but then said they allow a once in a lifetime "educational" credit so he gave me my $19.95 back.

So if this ever happens to you, give them a call.

BTW: My coin sold for $256 and I saw another one close at $296 so that featured listing really worked out well image

I wouldn't use the "featured listing" if I were you anyway. I NEVER bid on featured items because I know there's going to be much more competition and I'm going to pay a higher price - I just search through the standard text listings.

according to your results, I should be checking those featured items.

The few times I have tried a featured listing, I found it to be a waste of money, anyway.
