Asymmetrical coin design

I just read something interesting. It is no longer 'considered acceptable' to use an asymmetrical coin design, e.g. the 86 gold Statue of Liberty gold half eagle, which is considered a radical design. See the front page of coin world.

I can't find a picture of that beauty, but I remember it's asymmetricallness.

That's too bad, while not every asymmetrical design is destine to look nice, the St. of Lib half eagle really does.
