I thought you had deserted us. Haven't seen you in ages.

For those who weren't here, or don't remember: Spooly was the first to refer to Mercs as "fishing lures". That took a lot of nerve, knowing how he would stir up the Merc collectors.


Ken, I remember being offered a box full of raw Roosies about 10 years ago. Most were white, but a few had gold and purple peripheral toning. I passed on the toned coins (duh!) and bought a nearly complete white set. Not that I needed Roosies at that time, because I already had a complete silver set, but the coins were nice, and very cheap. Dates after 1955 were no more than 50 cents. Wish I could go back any buy the toned ones now!

Yesterday I posted this pic of a coin for Mercateers who have also gotten into Roosies, but it was quickly buried in all the ttt'ing that went on. The wings might look good on an Ike dollar too.

You guys are a bad influence on me, you MAKE me buy coins! I come here and see all the great coin.......then next thing you know I am scanning the dealers sites spending money! I am trying to build a new house. I need to be buying sinks.... doors...ect...ect. Not MS-67 Red Wheat Cents! I will tell you it's a lot more fun buying coins than house crap!

I am off to torture myself.............by scanning the PCGS Registry.
