Influences on the coin market

David,

How do you think the coin market is affected by global instabilities like the war in Iraq? Is the bull market for coins being driven by outside forces like these, or internal supply and demand issues?

Thanks

The now two years old bull market is benefitting from both outside and internal factors.

    Internally,

    1. The statehood quarter program and other marketing by the US Mint, i.e. 2001 Buffalo dollars, modern commems, silver and gold eagles, platinum SOLs, etc. has created 100s of thousands of new coin collectors.

    2. The rare coin market was/is cyclically ripe. It's time for the market to get hot.

    3. We have a coin collecting renaisance going on. People are really into collecting and building sets...and the PCGS Set Registry has added a lot of fuel to the fire.

    Externally,

    1. Gold bullion is way up and there's uncertainly abroad.

    2. the stock market is no longer the one and only place to be financially.

    3. Interest rates are very, very low.

Everything looks great for the coin market and the market has a lot of momentum. I think we could run for another 3 to 5 years...

    YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET!!!!!!!!!!!!1
