The Olympic coin was a very pleasant and decent design. I paid an acceptable price of $16.50. Doing a set of these in different slabs but all of them are very nice.
No derision intended at all. That is the beauty of being a collector at heart. Every new acquisition should always be as exciting as the first one!

I didn't think you were big on modern commems (although I know you have/had rolls of Kennedys). Wait a sec. now I remember you telling me you a bunch of Buffalo Commems. $16.40 ain't bad at all - melt plus grading fee.
BSqr: You are right, I am not big on modern commems but here and there I like certain issues such as the buffalo, the Dolly Madison, the $5 gold Statute of Liberty, and the Olympic. With time, I may learn to appreciate others as well.
True, I try to avoid paying the big premiums associated with the condition rarities of these moderns and so I approach these moderns with the eye of a true collector.
In this case, I liked the old PCGS green insert slab (coin only minted a few years before its slabbing), I liked the coin design, grade, the price, and the seller (Cameron).

Or am I missing something? (wise cracks welcome)

Dog97: Indeed this was an ebay offering.
