Gold Cracks $400.00 !

Looks like gold has just cracked the $400.00 an oz. mark in intraday trading, wow!

There is an interesting analysis of the trading today on www.jsmineset concerning the selling by Goldman Sachs to prevent gold from closing around the $400 mark. Basically stating that some major gold short with a large exposure (such as derivatives or hedges) is doing everything possible to keep from getting hammered. Goldman and Morgan Stanley seem to be 2 of the major US players involved in trying to keep the price down. As to whether this is on their own account or they are acting on the behalf of a client remains to be seen. Games as usual. Once these guys finally give up the cause, gold is going to seek a more true market price.
