"History of the Byzantine State", by George Ostrogorstky, 1991 printng of a 1969 edition, paperbound, 624 pages, Rutgers University Press, New Brunswick, NJ. ISBN 0-8135-1198-4.
Lots of B&W illustrations of coins, artifacts, jewelry, buildings, etc., genealogical charts of dynasties, and so on.
Obviously this is a college textbook, but it's not as dry and dusty as many textbooks can be. It is rather scholarly, though. It belonged to a friend of mine who died rather young, from complications of diabetes. He was apparently a student at the University of North Carolina at Asheville at one time. (Asheville the town I used to live in and the home of our own "Olde Dead King"). There's still a pricetag from the UNC-A college bookstore for $22.95 on the cover. The book is in good if not excellent shape; only slightly used. I was going to list it on the forum later tonight with the extra '93 Krause I had, but there was an early bird who got the worm, in that case. (I had a feeling somebody would be PM'ing me about it!)
The Byzantine history book is yours for twelve dollars with free worldwide shipping, if you want it.
(Note: though there are some coins pictured, it is not a numismatic reference but rather a very comprehensive history book- it might complement your numismatic library well).
