POLL: How much do you love Roosies

StoogeStooge Posts: 4,646 ✭✭✭✭✭
How much do you love Roosies. I love them so much I can't sleep at night, and when I do I dream about them!

How about you?

There not my first love or my second loveimage

But I've come to appreciate them more all the time. Recently I keep thinking
about a choice gem '79 at work. These come with some really tremendous
satiny surfaces which can be quite breath taking.

Naturally I voted "Not at all" as they are ugly little things. But, the fact I had to think about why I don't think about them, I must have thought about them.

I love Roosies. Especially the silver ones. They're cool, and the toned ones are even better.

33.33% or 9 votes are from collectors that don't think about roosies. How could you not think about them. They are shiny and cute!

The 9 of you, and you know who you are, need to reconsider. Roosies are depending on you.

Yes, someone else that thinks you should collect what they like instead of what you like.

There wasn't a correct answer for me. I collect them because I collect all of the dimes. Roosevelt dimes are probably my least favorite design for dimes, but I do like them because they ARE dimes.

Why would anyone want to collect such boring coins like these?

I've owned a couple of MS sets that were completed in pre-slab times, when FB/FT wasn't a big deal. I have most of the silver Roosies in cameo proof, but only one in MS that's slabbed. Finding them in gem MS never offered much of a challenge, but FS and nicely toned are another story. I just can't get very enthused about them. There are more than 20 1953-1959 BU rolls sitting in my safe deposit box, mostly 57-P & D, that I bought years ago @ $16/roll for silver content. I probably should have searched for gems and FB's and sold the rest a few weeks ago, but couldn't get to the bank when silver was at its peak. Maybe it won't take another 25 years for silver to hit $15/oz.

I love deep cameo proof and colorful proof Roosies - I own many.

But I don't dream about them or think about them at work...................

I only think about them when I am searching my pockets for a dime to leave as a tip for poor service at the local pub. I think the pubs name is Roosie's...no thats not right. It is called Rosy's.
