PCGS turnaround time

The PCGS turnaround time for economy submissions is now slightly under 40 calendar days. The turnaround time for modern coin submissions is 35 calendar days.

David, if you keep decreasing things at the rate you've been going in the last few weeks you'll be grading the coins faster than we can send them

Great news, and I recall the goal was to turn the economy submissions around in 30 days or less (or something close to that), so you are almost there.

Mark...Now that turnaround times are getting better we can spend some time doing a lot of things we have in the works, including DNC grades.

I still don't understand how I can have a economy on day 47 now if the turnaround is less than 40.
Not complaining as I was expecting at least 60 but something seems off in the turnaround calculations.

I predict that the turnaround time will go up again due to massive number of days that coins will not be graded, or graded at a much slower pace: Thanksgiving, Baltimore, Christmas, New Year, FUN....

I don't understand what all the fuss is about, I have been submitting coins since 1986-7 when the turnaround time was a bit over 3 months for the $30.00 regular service, and they didin't even have an economy or modern service at that time because it hadn't yet occured to people that pocket change and bullion coins could be valuable.

If you wanted your coins back sooner, you had to go with the $50.00 express which took a bit over a month.

Now everyone wants to pay $15.00 and get their coins back in a hurry.

I paid $50 for 7 day and today is day 9. We just want out coins back. I wanted to get these back in time to go to heritage for auction (deadline 27th).
