Superior Auction Redux

I was watching the 1960 wax box (final price w/BP $13,225), and the two partial 1970 PSA8 and PSA9 sets. I thought about bidding on the two 1970 partial sets, but passed because I don't have a good feel for that market. The PSA 9 partial set (274cards) had a final hammer of $10,350 with BP, or $38 per card, and the 426-card PSA 8 set ended at $3,680, or $8.63 per card. Both seem to be pretty good deals, especially the PSA 8 set.

One of the lots I won was a 57 card PSA 7 1959 set, all commons for just over $9 per card. Seemed like a good deal to me!

What else was interesting? Anyone here buy the 1960 wax box?

Edited to apologize for posting this before noticing the previous thread on the same topic! As for the 1972 Rose I was also watching it and was going to bid on it, but it had a printing defect - a significant roller indentation running the length of the left side. How it avoided a PD is beyond me..
