Pretty quiet around here lately - glad your busy working your way up image

I switched '44-D 67FB's this week - that was my big bang for the week - I had a white typical soso example and now own a pretty toned original piece. Not like I get a medal - why there is only some 600 graded examples or something image

No new Mercs in three weeks, and that was the first one in a long time. There's a date I need on eBay now, but I think the reserve is too high. Pickings have been slim lately in both auctions and fixed price lists.

The FUN show is only 6 weeks away; maybe I'll have some success there. I'll be disappointed if I don't come back with at least 3 or 4 of the Mercs I need, but I know there'll be lots of coins in other series to tempt me.

Got one this morning that has been watched for 2+ years. No one else liked this coin when it was on the sellers Web Site ? It was on Ebay about two months ago also.

    Ken,

That's a really nice '28-S. Did the dealer have a photo? I can't believe it would stay in inventory for 2 years if people could see what it looked like.

    This is their photo.

This one is just like the 28D that stayed on the J.J.Teaparty site forever. I went after the 28D first but it was sold the day before I made up my mind to spring for it.

Now if I could only afford the 20D that David Lawrence has. Out of my league though.

Are you merc guys going to FUN in January?? Along with some rainbow proof washingtons, I'm displaying my merc short set 41-45. Average grade is 67.4, all are rainbows....hopefully, you can view some merc eye candy, I'd love to hear your comments (don't be mislead into thinking I'm a closet merc guy, roosies are always my love!).imageimage

    Hello rainbowroosie,

I'm not mislead, you are definitely out of the closet now! No way no how you can have a short set of that caliber and not be a full fledged Mercateer!!!!! I sure wish I could be there to see them. I will expect reports from those that are.

I just received an AU-53 1923-S place holder. I'll try to get it entered in the next day or two.
