Question for dealers - would you do this?

Lets say I want to buy some coins from dealer AAA. I have some coins for sale but the dealer AAA does not specialize in the coins I have for trade and he is not interested. So I come to YOU show you the coins you like them but I ask you to cut a check for dealer AAA, not in my name. Would you do it?

    I would not have a problem with it.

    No problem, but I may ask for an invoice from AAA.
    PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
    I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

    Sure! I did a four way deal yesterday between 2 dealers and 2 collectors. Money and coins went round and round and invoices went back the other way.

    It was quick, simple and everybody had a smile and a handshake. I thought it was way cool. image

    Yeah, why not? If you are unsure, then each one could provide an invoice to the next one in the circle of three deal.
