I think I found number 5 in my Krause,

Spain : 8 Maraveis KM 408.2 Segovia Mint. Type ran from 1772 until 1788 with these values for 1779:

    VG-$5; F-$10; VF-$18; XF-$28.

  • #5 looks to be an 8 Maravedis KM- 408.2 from Spain. VG $5, F $10.

Number 4 looks Brazilian, but the catalogs don't have pictures for every type so unfortunately I can't help beyond that.

For numbers 1 through 3 I have no idea at all!

Number 4 is a 1775 Brazilian 10 reis that was revalued to 20 reis with a counterstamp in 1809. It's KM270 in the 19th century Krause.
  • Number 3 is a Jeton produced by Hans Schultes in Nuremberg, late 16th century
  • #1 is Dalmatia under Venice I suspect. Anything else about it is a guess... image

Wow, there it is - I'm very impressed newsman, is this something you specialize in?

For completeness here are the Krause values for the counterstamped coin:

    G-$2.50 VG-$5 F-$9 VF-$18

Number 2 is also a jeton, I believe, though not one familiar to me. I've seen examples of #3 before, and the side you chose to show as its reverse is a very common design shared with a lot of the Nuremberg jetons from the late 1500's and early 1600's. Some were actually found in an archaeological context on an early 17th century British site near Jamestown, though I don't know if they would have circulated as money there- can't imagine what purpose they served, though archaeologists call them "mathematical counters".
