Mintages for Canadian 1935-66 specimen/proof dollars

Is there any reference that list mintages for specimen and proof (mirrored and matte) silver dollars minted between 1935 and 1966?

My 2002 Charlton lists prices but not mintages.

BTW, I posted the same question on the Canadian Coin Reference Site.

I don't believe these numbers were published....often the numbers were well less than a 100 (1930's and 1940's),.....a more usefully number is probably the PCGS and ICCS pop reports that will tell you how many survived to be graded. Specimens were often gifts for foreign dignataries (sp) so the true mintages were very low.

I'm writing an article on collecting Canadian dollars, and I find it interesting specimens were struck from 1935 to 1966 and were not sold to coin collectors except on rare occasions (e.g. the 1937 specimen sets), and even when they were sold they were not well promoted. It took all the way until 1967 for collectors all over Canada to be able to order them easily.
