Here's something different. This coin is a part of a mint set and the picture is a bit blurry because I have not removed it from its original mint package. The whole set was my impulse purchase a few years ago because I don't normally buy coins that are obviously issued for collectors rather than for general circulation (there are exceptions, however: not long ago I purchased a few San Marino mint sets from the 1970s, but only because they were cheap).

Vatican coins often feature keys, I wonder if they represent the keys to heaven.
I understand completely about picking up things that don't really go with teh rest of the collection. I have several whose only common theme is that I like them!
