Anyone recommend a good book with all the different types of varieties on Ike?

All the 1976 Ty1 coins have a peg-leg R. The Ty2 went back to an R with a serif.

The Authoritative Reference on Eisenhower Dollars is the most comprehensive book on Ike varieties, though "Authoritative" is stretching it a bit. By Wexler/Craford/Flynn. Out of print last I knew, but you can usually still find someone stocking it.

I'm still sitting on my 72-D Peg Leg that was attributed by ANACS. I can't get any ideas as to what the price might be on this one.

Tad -- any ideas?

71-S Unc and Proof come in both varieties and are well-documented. In peg-leg, the proofs are less common but readily available, while the uncs are scarce.

The 72-D peg-leg is a newly discovered thing, I haven't seen one in person.

Michael , I don't have a clue as to what your 72-D would bring.

The 71-S uncs are very scarce in peg-leg yet I have had a hard time selling those from my mini-hoard for what I've paid for them. They just don't have the necessary demand... other than me, apparently. The 72-D would probably suffer from the same thing if you tried to sell it, at least right now.

Some attirbution photos of the 1971-S... "peg leg" refers to the R in LIBERTY, which is missing the serif on the lower left leg.
