Russ, anybody!help with downloading email pics

Im having difficulty downloading email pics of a coin a member here sent me. Everytime I try to open it I get a "photoshop expired" message and I never ordered photoshop. Hes got it coded .jpg. Can anyone help me? thanks, Mike

When you open the email, "save to disk" instead of opening it. Next, open up your browser and then go "file" "open" and point to the just-downloaded file and it should open up just fine.

Also, you can change the association of .jpg to a program other than Photoshop.

Thanks for your help but its not working....I may not be doing it right either...when you say save to disc you mean my "C" drive, right? I do that then at bottom it gives me choice of paint shop or all files and I choose all files. then I save it to "C" drive, but I dont understand about the browser and go to "file"open and point to downloaded file...I cant seem to get that...anyway, how do I change the destination of .jpg files from paintshop to some other program...again thanks for your help..mike

I save my pics to a floppy (A: drive for me) - fear of potential virus


I open my program I usually look at pictures with


from that program I click on File (upper left) and then Open then go to my A: drive and click my newly downloaded file


it works for me that way - might for you

Open up Windows Explorer, click Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Find jpeg in there, highlight it and and click edit, then click edit again and browse to find a program you want to associate with the file. If you have no editing software, pick Paint or Internet Explorer.
