If I where to make an educated guess on how it was done, It looks like he put a coin on top of them and used either a butane or a propane torch on them.

I think its great that he does all his cleaning by hand....
you know, they really are beautiful coins, each one a work of art. too bad he insists on trying to pass them off as naturally toned. if he used his efforts in marketing them for what they are, he might sell just as many(?), without having to try trick all toned coin lovers.

That's the problem, he isn't. He doesn't describe them as NT, just toned and they are that. No fraud here, just no caveat emptor.
