Another PayPal/ebay scam thread - but this presents useful info

If ANY message starts out:

Dear ebay user:
or
Dear PayPal user:

It's fake. They've got your name on file. They never start with a generic "user" line.

The scammers that send these out generally don't know your name, just your email addy, so they always start with that generic address. Be smart. Look at the salutation first.
