1967 Canadian cent

I've had this coin for 25-30 years and just noticed it has a bird on it, not a leaf.
Question# 1 Is this some sorta 100 year commemorative thing? (like the U.S. 1776-1976 coins)
# 2 Did Canada do this with other denominations?

Thank you
Glenn

That and all other denominations were struck to celebrate the Confederation Centennial. They are still very popular and easily available. A mint set should run you about $9 US.
