1971-P & 1974-P PCGS MS66 Ikes ended on tele-trade Monday night

I just checked the final numbers on these two coins and the 71-P went for $975 and the 74-P for $500. Sounds like pretty good deals on low pop Ike's. The 74-P in particular looked like an awfully nice coin. Congrats to who ever got 'em.

Also, is it just me, or are prices usually lower on Tele-trade auctions than on eBay?

Depends of the type. In my interest sets, bullions prices in Ebay are much better.
In Moderns the price in Teletrade, recently, looks better.

That 1976 looked like it had a carbon spot to me, how did that ever become a 68 in the first place. Nice coin if you are buying the holder, not great eye appeal to me. Thats only my opinion I've been wrong before.

Business strike Ikes have been graded more strictly for the last couple of years. You can tell from the cert. #s of those two that they were graded several years ago. There are exceptions though.
I doubt that there have been any 1971 or 1974 Ike copper/nickel business strikes graded MS66 in the last year or two.

    CoinHusker,

I received the MS66 1974-P IKE today. It is even better in person than in the photo. It is lightly toned and I am well pleased with it.

I went through my lot of Ikes from the infamous lot of 11. I think the 74-P may be a 65, so it will be in my next submission. I know that's not a high $ coin, but I only own a 65, I'd like it to be self slabbed.

    Hi Massscrew!

Funny!!!image You got a good one, but not "THAT" one.....It is in my Ike Registry Set (currently #4 or so).
I'll be listing another large batch on T-Day.

It is nice to be able to finally talk on the Forum.....Now, I have to figure out how to make some kind of cool-looking logoimage
    Any ideas?

You're number 4 in the regular registry, and number 3 in the varieties...very impressive! I might catch you one of these days.....image
