Thanks for the answers about clad or silver State Qtrs slabbed

and I'm sorry it took me SOOO long to get back to those who answered me. I was having computer problems and was just able to get it all resolved tonight.

My original question was how could I tell if my slabbed statehood quarters (1999-S) were Silver or Clad. All the answers were great and I appreciate everyone taking the time to give me the help I was looking for.

Unfortunately, I still really dont know. I dont think they're silver because the paper in the slab does NOT say SILVER on it. And, to answer someones question, they were graded by PCI. But, I have acquired (not yet received but "ordered/paid for") the 2000, 2001,2002 and 2003 state quarters in the Flag Slabs graded by PCGS. So, I think I'll have to try to get my hands on a 1999 PCGS set.

Anyway, thanks for everyones help. :-) I cant find the original thread, so hopefully those of you that took the time to answer will read this and know that I thank you. :-)

Above, under the navigation menu is a search feature. It takes a little
practice to get good with it but it works fairly well if you can remember
a key word in the title.

Use as few of words as possible and select the appropriate forum for
best results.

I tried the search feature, and ended up putting just my handle in (author) and it STILL didnt find me.

wow...I'm a LOSER. :-) Computer wont even find me if I tell it who I am! Oh well.

Thanks for the advice, I wont give up on searches, I'll keep pluggin away.

When you do the search you have to make sure you specify which forum(s) you want it to search in. If you don't it defaults to the Announcements and news forum where basicly no one goes.
