two more Paypal questions

GeomanGeoman Posts: 2,491 ✭✭✭
Okay, I have read the pros and cons about Paypal for over a year now. And while I still have some reservations about Paypal, I have decided to open an account with them. Here is why - I am starting a small, online coin shop (yea, like we need another one), and I have come to the conclusion that it may hurt me more to not accept credit cards, than accept them using Paypal.

However, here are my 2 questions: First, I already have a free account. I do not want to upgrade that to accept credit cards, as then even funds coming via a funded account will have the extra fee added on. So can I open up a second account with Paypal? It would be under a different name (ie: business name) and have a different address (ie: P.O. Box) than my personal account. Will Paypal let you do this?

Second, I searched, but couldn't find it. Someone a while ago mentioned that there was "...a little known fact about Paypal, that you could have a personal and business account together under the same name..." Anyone remember that? If so, can you explain how you did that?

Thanks!

    Give them a call...............1.888.221.1161 or 1.800.836.1859

They can probably tell you pretty quickly.

"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose."

My wife and I both had Paypal accounts. Different email addresses, same mailing address. I believe they will NOT letyou use the same credit card for more than 1 account though.

That's not a bad idea. Have two papal accounts that you use with your business, one for credit card payments and one for all of the others. That way you only have to pay the fees on the credit card payments. The problem is though I think there may be a limit to the amount of money you can funnel through a free account monthly without them forcing you to upgrade it to a business account.

the only drawback is that the credit card payers must also have a peepal account. you will lose or not get business from those who wish to use a CC but don't have peepal.
