It's a fraction of a thaler. That one is Schwarzburg-Sonderhausen.
    1/360 is a pfennig, 1/90 is 4, 1/30 is a groschen, etc...

The S-S territory was located in central Germany along the southern part of the old E. German border. A groschen was worth 12 pfennig and there were 30 groschen in a Thaler. So, for example, '30 einen thaler' means 1/30th of a thaler. Scheide munze means 'small change'. The A mint mark means it was minted in Berlin during the reign of Prince Gunther Friedrich Carl II (1835-80). Your groschen coin is possibly worth about $3 in that condition. It is very low content silver and only contains about 8 cents worth. You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
