David,
What type of lighting do the graders use (e.g., incandescent, halogen, or ???)?
Thanks,
Greg

Most graders use incandescent lights. A few old timers (David Hall & John Dannreuther) use tensor lamps. Some people like Halogem lights. It's a matter of what you are used to. The important thing is that you have a single non-flourescent light source. Be careful of show lighting. It can often make coins look a lot better than they look under single source incandescent light. In fact, the dealers often talk about "Long Beach" light, a reference to the very deceptive overhead lighting at the Long Beach coin shows.
