Another storm is brewing - CLOSING UPDATE

I am writing this note in the hopes that you have an ID on this forum or are an occasional lurker here. You will know who you are based on the events documented below.

Back on August 24, I placed an order for a number of coins with you. I sent payment very quickly. My check cleared September 2nd. You did not send the coins. 2 emails later, you finally got around to shipping them. I finally received them on September 27th.

Some of these were outstanding pieces, including a superb 1894 halfpenny. Unfortunately, some had to be returned either because of undocumented damage or miscategorization. You said returning them would be no problem.

I returned the coins October 1 via insured mail and waited, waited, waited for my refund check. Nothing. I emailed you October 31st asking if you had received the coins, noting that I had insured them. You said you had received them and that the refund was forthcoming. I sent another email asking what the status on my refund is on November 13 - no reply.

I see that you are still offering goods up for sale in auction on ebay, which means you can get off of your behind and mail me my refund.

It is now November 16th. I still have not received anything from you. If I do not see a refund for at least $122 by November 20th, I will reveal your name on this forum and expose you for your poor business practices and the excuses you have used for not delivering what you rightfully owe me.

    I'll give just one clue. It is not ajaan. Ajaan is the opposite of this character for customer service.

    To be honest with you, my patience has mostly come from being too busy to micromanage the problem.

    Just received an email from the seller. Here is an excerpt:

    Your refund check is 'in the mail system' and you should be getting it
    sometime this week.

    Thanks for your patience - and again, I am sorry for the delay.


    Of course I have heard all of this before and will believe only after I have check in hand. Even then, I won't believe it until it's cleared.

    I FINALLY got my money back from this guy. It took three months, but the PayPal came through on November 26.

    While relieved I have money in hand, it doesn't change how I feel about all of this. It was extremely irresponsible of this seller to hold my money for this length of time.

    I will not reveal the name of the seller here, but I will offer my opinion on the seller if others ask me what my buying experience was with him if they mention him or his company by name.image
