I'll be there. Are you buying or selling?

I plan to look for mainly for morgans. I may also breakdown and get a toned jefferson to add some color to the collection.

Jason, I'll be there. If you remember you told me you might have a little space in your display. I'm hoping that's still the case as I have inventoried my toners now.

I think a few of them will fit right in with your pedigreed knockouts. Looking to sell quite a few CC Morgans there as well.

I'll call you early in the week, when you're not too deep in that slot machine....image

yeah, I' an accountant by nature and my conscience will only allow me to spend so much on coins.

My buddy is starting to sell off some of his duplicates so I'm already making a list of the coins I plan to purchase from him. He is bring them to the show as trade so I have to get them early or risk losing them to the show.

Louis: I was at the Pasadena Coin Club Show today (Saturday), and stoped by Jason's table to pick up my 2 PCGS Blue Boxes (Thanks very much Jason !!) and to look at his beautiful coins, including the 1880-CC 64-PL Morgan.

I am not aware of a CU Forum pin, but I'd like to get one so that I can recognize my fellow forum members at the shows (like upcoming MONEY Show of the SW in Jan 2004) -- and so that you can recognize me. How do I get one of those pins??

I tried my hand at beginning to sell off some of my duplicates from my Morgan collection, and was very pleased to have sold 6 of the 18 coins that I brought to the show at a modest profit !! (Not bad for my first trek on the sell side -- and to free up some cash to upgrade the collection).

My dealer friends were very thoughtful and helpful with suggestions on how to (and not to) proceed. I was a bit surprised that my 1884-S ANACS AU-55 did not go today -- although I won't let it go cheaply !!

I enjoyed the show today, and did pick up some very nice coins. I'm beginning to work on the tougher dates, and am specializing in PL/DMPL Morgans -- especially those that are common in "Frosty Unc" but scarce in PL/DMPL. They are fun to find, and can be very rewarding to collect!

Stuart, sorry I didn't get to meet you at the show. PCGS gives the pins away at thier table at the major shows.

Sorry I missed you by 10 minutes. I met up with Jason and spent some time BSing with Darkhorse. As usual, it looks as though there was a decent representation of the board members.

Pretty good show with a wide range of material.

We really should have coordinated a board get together there. As usual, it's all your fault.

Let's try to get a group for the MONY show.

Sorry I missed this show and a chance to meet you Louis. You sure have some nice commems I,d love to see in person. The upcoming Money Show should be even better, bigger so I,ll have to make this one to make up
    for the Pasadena show.

Someone should get creative and make a T-shirt with a photo of a thread from this forum on it.

A fellow member could spot you all the way across the room. image

I suggest that we use the attached photo of the Hilton sisters -- well, not really -- but I do like looking at them...

    Zardoz,

It's Deadhorse, but I'll forgive you this one time. I did enjoy talking to you, it's nice to meet somebody on the same page as me.

Got to meet a few other members. Sorry for those I missed but I'll be there again tomorrow.

Remumc, sorry I missed you today, I left your package with Jason.

I was at the show saturday as well and thought the turn out was good. I bought a few morgans but the real value was in talking to the different people I have met being associated with coins. It seems I always learn something new.

As customary, Jason presented a very colorful selection.
Thanks for the toned jefferson and the bonus pcgs boxes.

CU Forum Members in the Houston Area: Let's get organized for this January's MONEY Show of the SW at Greenspoint Mall so that we can meet one another in person.

I plan on attending alot of the excellent continuing education sessions that Mike Fuljenz and Mike Ferrone (ANACS) will be offering. That meeting room is a great place to meet others bacsue it is relatively small and manageable. The bourse floor is very spread out and a tough place to meet folks unless you pick a time/place.
