OT - Went to danglen's shop today...

and met the man himself. image

My husband and I made the short trek from our home to Dan's shop in Palm Coast this afternoon. What a nice shop and the service is exceptional. Dan is a wonderful person and an excellent salesman. He lets you be the one to decide what (if anything) you want to buy. He showed us everything we asked to see and even gave us some nice lessons about the coins we looked at. And to top it all off, he did this all on his own time. The shop was already officially closed for the day when we got there, but Dan welcomed us with open arms. He really made us feel welcome and comfortable.

If you get a chance, you should go check out the shop. It is real nice. You will be glad you did. And, hey, while you're there, you can buy some Christmas presents for yourself (like I did image ).

    Did you introduce yourself right away as a Darksider? I'm sure he'd have treated you the same regardless. I like Dan's style.

    Didn't have to introduce myself as a Darksider. He knew who I was when I mentioned my name. As a matter of fact, he was expecting us and I really didn't even introduce myself. He asked me when I walked in if I was Beth.

    WOW, what a treat! Got to play golf in some exceptionally fine weather this morning, got to the shop and Beth and Mike walked through the door. My first "official" darksiders, and of course, we used it as an excuse to hit my favorite Chinese , Japanese and Sushi buffet in town. I had just gotten a Polish "Salt Mines" 20 Zlotych silver crown a few days ago, one I had been after for a couple of years, but Beth swooped in and rescued it from my non-Polish clutches. I hadn't put it up on eBay yet, because I wanted to fondle it for a while, but that wasn't meant to beimage. I told Beth it was tough having to play with coins all day, and make a living at it too, but I guess someone has to do itimage. For the rest of you Darksiders, my offer of a free lunch when you're in Palm Coast still holds. On top of all of this, my son Dan, Jr. (Petescorner) just made me a grandpa for the 7th time. Matthew Edward arrived yesterday and weighed in at 8+ pounds. Life is good............imageimage
