Dipping modern gold proofs

I got a 1995 Flag $5 Gold proof that I was going to send off to PCGS for fingerprinting, but it already came with one.

Would a quick Jeweluster bath make it go away? I've never dipped gold before.

I have dipped many modern proof gold coins in 100 % jewel luster and had excellent results submitting to PCGS and NGC. Go for it.image

Just be sure to rinse the thing good. I mean real good.

If you don't then over time the coin can get spotty or hazy. I've got about 3 or 4 slabbed gold commem proofs in my set that I want to replace at some point because of this.
