Laurent - Congratulations, a beautiful medal!

I got the one I wanted also - French Medal I almost cut the snipe too close on this one image A little too close to the waterline for comfort.

  • You both had the same back bidder. He must be really fuming about now.image

Farthing - when you have it in hand how about posting a better picture of the obverse for our enjoyment?imageimageimage

  • Very nice bidding -- and Laurent thought rmtd58 was such a canny bidder!! Those are the first times I've seen Tonivon bid.

I wish I could believe this; but the same underbidder (with zero feedback) in two auctions by the same seller indicates other things to me image

Also (without any disrespect),I've noticed that Laurent placed a second higher bid at some moment without having been outbid; I'd suggest to avoid this in the future: it only shows how much you want the item.
I think it should only be used for intimidation purposes at the end of some auctions (a last resort trick image)

Actually, when someone double-bids like that at the end it tells me the other bidders were getting close to his bid, so he upped it a modest amount.
