1882S

A friend sent me this coin as a gift. It has some sort of "problem" with the mint mark.
If my poor photos are good enough could anyone tell me the proper term for this mint mark and if it is unusual or not?

Thanks in advance

Just looks like it is mushy like on many 82-s morgans.

I don't know much. It looks like the same on my "S" morgan. Besides an O/S variety that they list for 1882 what else might be different?

I will try to get a better close-up when I get my lighting fixed. Mine does not look the same as yours'. The S on mine looks more "filled" if that is a correct term.
