Got Mercury Dime Grades from PCGS.

No AU58's here.

PCGS and myself only agreed on one coin though. Here is what I thought and then the PCGS grade. This is my first submission in well over a year. The submission number was 9013844.

1916S....Me....63FB with a chance at BB or AU.....PCGS 64FB

1934D....Me....63 with a chance at AU again........PCGS 64

1941S....Me....65FB with hope of 66FB color.........PCGS 65FB

1943D....Me....No Idea. Coin has Mint Flaw of some sort. PCGS liked it 66FB

Nothing earth shaking but it did give me a idea of how they are grading the Mercs. Maybe I will send my other raw 41S. Its Killer compared to these.

Take Care.

Well, if PCGS is going to disagree, it might as well be in that direction. image

Yes that was the four Freebies. Had them for close to a year and finally decided to use them.

After reading all of the woes around here I wanted to find out what was going on. By this submission I still do not know unless folks are just missing the luster and hairlines/slide marks on the coins they are submitting. I really thought that none of the coins submitted were special at all. I did like the 41S but still had it pegged at 65 with a shot at 66.

Anyway next time it will cost me it looks like. Hmmm.....maybe not my collectors club do dad should be about up. image

Very nice ... I'm generally pleased with 50 percent agreement, let alone coins that exceed my expectations! image

This was only my third submission I believe. The first two were just as you said, 50% on the button. This one was a little of a surprise. Maybe the coin board has taught me something after all.

  • I'll never complain when I get better than expected results. Good job guessing, though. I wish I was that close.
