PLAYER SET REGISTRY SPECIAL.... PLEASE!

Carol, Joe and anyone esle who influences these decisions....

I humbly request a "Player Set Registy" special sometime in the future.

I have heard many, including myself, bring up the fact that we have ungraded lots of
our collected players just waiting for a reasonable special.

Keep in mind, player collectors do want a PSA 10 on a 81 Donruss for our collections and we will
submit 10 81 Donruss hoping one of them scores but we will not do it if it cost us $10 to grade a 81 Donruss.

And I must be able to submit oddball sizes in the same order (MSA disk etc)

$6 a card, 30 day turn, invoice must all of same player, 50 card min.

Loves me some shiny!

I like that idea. Problem is though people like me who abuse every special that comes up. I just opened a 1980 Topps bulk vending case that has about 135 each of Yastrzemski, Carew, Schmidt, and Lynn. Somebody like me would send in 50 of the same card and blow the population through the roof. I probably wouldn't do that only because PSA 8's wouldn't resell for grading fee.

The Oct.cc special. I sent in only the cards I absolutely could not find. None had been graded!!!
I bought 2 boxes for cheap and pulled the cards I needed. I submitted (4) 1984 topps cards. Lamarr Hoyt (cy winner). I got 3 psa 9's and the one 10. I pulled many HOF'ers also but no way was I submitting @ 10 a whack.

It's a good idea. Maybe lower the minimum to 25 cards.
  • Here, here. Sounds like a great idea. No minimums though. The same player all on one invoice and oddball stuff too. Great idea.image

Great idea. I have hundreds of Kobe cards to submit.
  • I'd do $4.00 a card for a 500 card lot submission easy to end this year out with a bulk submission, it will help me get a jump start on my NEW PSA set Challenge:

    Jery's Monster PSA set Challenge

So how's about it PSA, this is a monster 2550+ card set.

  • I agree with the 25 card minimum.

Here is why PSA won't do it, though: What if someone submits a slew of valuable Mantles or Ruths? Then PSA cannot charge the $35 they would normally get for a high dollar card. Maybe if PSA limited the value of the card to say $100 or so, then they might do it.
