SBA mint mark question

I stopped at the Credit Union yesterday and asked for a roll of dollars, thinking I could be a smart-ass and give 'em out as tips at restaraunts. They gave me a roll of SBA's instead of Sac's.

When I got home I opened the roll up to take a look at them. I wound up with 2-1979P's and the rest were '79 and '80 D's. Two of the '79 D's have a filled D, and one of the filled D's looks like something was partially stamped on it, possibly an S. I'll have to see if I can get a decent picture with my wife's digital camera and get it posted this weekend.

Overall, there didn't appear to be anything special, I noticed a few (die?) breaks in some of the numbers.

Whenever I ask for rolls of halves are dollars, I'm always told that they do not have any. I've been to just about every bank and credit union in the area. I can only assume that they already have specific customers or friends who they hold these for.image

The 1979 Anthony dollars were also struck for circulation in San Francisco. The mintmaks for that issue are often blobs with just the traces ofthe S on the top surface. This same blob S appears on proof sets that year as the Type I S.
