1885 right? Thats a fair price for a g4 you should be able to get your money back if you ever decide to sell it unless the market falls apart.

think if i got it PCGS ag-3 or PCGS G-4 would hurt the value or increase it. i would think ag-3 would hurt it andg-4 would slightly increase it. yet seeing PCGS.com price for G at $400 i think is high

I think you're overanalyzing. Just put the coin in your collection and enjoy it.

i just want this coin to come back in G-4 . id be very happy with that. and i doubt i could enjoy the coin if it was a AG-3. but i cant afford a graded G-4.NET G-4 as they say. if it comes back a AG-3 then it was a waste of money cause it is no good use to me. i cant trade an AG-3 casue noone here would ever give me what i paid . thats all im concerned about.

Look here. Even if it is ag3 its not going to be a huge loss. Of course the cost of getting it graded at pcgs will probably be about 20% of what you paid.

ok i see that from dec. 02. mine does have a nicer back to it. where you can read United state of america and all but the rim dents im worried about pulling the grade down. do you have any you know of with nickes in the rim

Hey, I can finally see your icon, Atarian!

Atarian: Without knowing what the coin looks like.......you describe it as a coin with rim dents. PCGS is very tough on rim dents. Based on that information alone, there is a distinct possibility they might body bag it and refuse to grade it.
