My 14-month-old happens to be with me right now. I've never seen her so excited about a thread on this forum.

Ooh the Wiggles.... that's the only thing on TV my 28 month old will watch for any length of time. We have 5 of their videos and yes Steve, you are correct, Greg does look a lot like Joe O.

    Could "Jeff" be Peter Ma?

  • Wow Amazing I just finished watching Toot!Toot! with my kids a little while ago ....

Perhaps BJ is Dorothy the Dinosaur.

  • "Greg" has more hair, and I noticed Joe wears a wedding ring... Still, one never knows......

All you guys with daughters, just wait till they hit their first "real" boyfriend stage! My little girl is 14 and buddy, it's full steam ahead. It almost makes me yearn for 1991 and those infantile episodes of "Barney" that were all the rage with the toddler set then. I don't know the first things about the Wiggles, but I hope they are better than Barney and the dreaded "Baby Bop"....

Machodoc - they're worse. image I would also suggest that you memorize the father's line from Clueless to the boy who wants to take his daughter out "I have a .45 and a shovel. I don't think anyone would miss you."

  • Steve ,

The Wiggles are much better than Barney but then again that is not saying much. It is kind of like comparing a PRO 5 to a PRO 8 one is clearly better but who really cares?

  • Also for your daughter ... There was a great joke a while back ago someone sent me 10 simple rules for dating my daughter.... I will try and find it and email or mail it to you my favorite was:

Remember this I own a gun, a shovel and a very large back yard . and I am not afraid to use any of them......

The Wiggles and Barney make me happy my son has "graduated" to SpongeBob.
But the time goes way too fast, doesn't it?

  • Wow.

The resemblance is uncanny. If that's not Joe, it's his twin brother or clone. image

Joe, if you're reading this, yellow is DEFINITELY your color!

  • Guys,
For three years I thought I was all alone with this wiggles thing. My kids really dig them.

    Griffins,

YES it DOES go way, way, way, too fast.

Now this is a very funny thread. Is it just me or is Officer Beeples hot? She weighs about 98 lbs. and she's limber. She looks good in the episode where the Wiggles are lost on Windy street and they need to get to the corner of Happy and Sad St. to meet Dorthy.

  • Of course this has nothing to do with cards, but it has helped smoke out the "mature" crowd on this Board! image

As for my daughter and her current (and future) boyfriends, I am constantly reminded of a great line I once heard Harry Connick Jr. use when referring to his future discussions with his daughter's boyfriends: "Son, you can do anything you want with my daughter, just remember that anything you do, I get to do to you when you bring her back". I won't go into any Freudian implications of that line, but it cracked me up at the time.

Except for the nails on chalkboard voices, I actually think Spongebob is pretty funny.

Luxury - That's a great line. Being from West Virginia however, I personally favor the "Deliverance" method: beatup and smelly clothes, a baseball bat, missing teeth, a meanacing leer, and saying something like "ya better be careful, boy, I knowed where you live..."

Luxury - BTW, give me a holler about my e-mail from last night when possible.

  • As the father of a 2 1/2 year old -- that just went to see the Wiggles in person, this thread is cracking me up. Wake up Jeff -- that's funny!

Oh No.... if the wiggles are on tour..... that may slow down the turn around time on our submissions!

I'm going to submit my daughter's Teletubbie cards next week.... I think Tinky Winky has a shot at a 10

  • Nice thread Steve...glad to see you around here.

Enjoy your young children. I remember when. If I live through my kids teens I'll be lucky. I keep saying to myself "just a couple more years".

Don't feel bad. The VHS tapes went out on us. We have since upgraded our "wiggle" collection to DVD. image

As for Captain Feathersword being creepy, my wife thinks it's Jeff. When he is awake, and dancing, he has the strangest smile on his face.

    Thanks
