eBay score from last evening - how did I do on this?

seanqseanq Posts: 8,841 ✭✭✭✭✭
Yesterday I stumbled across this auction for a blank clad half dollar planchet. It was listed in with the half dollars instead of the error category, which kept it under the radar of the Usual Gang of Bidiots. I think I got a good deal, it seemed cheap enough under $20, but I don't have much of a feel for it. Does anyone have an idea of a value for this one - maybe a recent copy of Arnie's Error Supermarket with his current price for a blank clad half planchet?

Thanks,

Sean Reynolds

Edited to add:

I just found another one in the U.S. Error category. It is at $22 already with almost five days left, and a couple of heavy hitters on board. I may have answered my own question image
Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Sean, I don't really know enough about this to make a comment but at least this will be back at the top so someone that knows about such things will see it. mike image

Nice score Sean! I would say that they go for around $30-$40 retail.
