Speaking strictly from my personal experience, the 1975 and 1979 sets have proved the toughest by far. It didn't take me long to build a good 1971 set (my 1970 set is fairly decent), which was for a long time #2 to Mick and now has dropped to #3 at 8.62. The only reason I got as far as I have with the 1975 set was a helping hand from another member's duplicate submissions which I bought. I have had reasonable success with submissions on the 1975 set.
For some reason the 1979 set just hasn't aged well, especially those recently removed from original factory boxes. Over the past year I have opened at least a dozen 1979 boxes and nearly all have been tremendous disappointments. Discoloration, miscuts, plastic blobs, and O/C problems plague that year for some reason, especially the discoloration.
Finishing the 1975 (one card to go, plus scattered upgrades) and 1979 set, plus some odds and ends are all that stand in the way of my having a complete high-grade run of 1970 through 1983 basic K sets! Any help is appreciated, especially with the 1975 White and Hebner cards!
Great submission!!
