Ott light testing

I just got one of those Ott lights and here are my first pictures. I think it might be best to get two of these lights and put one on both sides of the coin to eliminate dark spots. I do like the way it shows the true colors now all I have to do is perfect it a little. mike

I think if you sell any coins at all on the internet it's worth the money to have better pictures. mike

Looking good Mike, two lamps does make it easier (especially with copper). With white inserts like NGC & ANACS raising the exposure to +.3 or .7 helps get the same results you got with your PCGS quarter.

As per their expense...if you already have a few hundred dollars invested in a camera spending an extra $100 for a pair of lights isn't outrageous. Especially if you've come to the conclusion that lighting is as important as the camera itself.
