I agree, this looks like a Type 2 to me also. The Type 1 has bold letters and a low relief, while the Type 2 has sharper letters and a high relief. There is a huge difference in price, as the Type 1 is much scarcer.
I look at the S in STATES....that last S is very easy to see the difference.....the bottom of the S curves back up pretty high on Type I coins. The type II coins have a more subdued S without the strong curving.
Also the Type I seem more bold in the letters while the Type II are thinner as dollardude said...so, combing the thickness (boldness) with the S curving, and it is very easy to tell the difference.
Yes, it looks like the coin did not sell. It looks very solid for the grade but it definitely is a Type 2. Maybe Teletrade has been informed and the coin can be sent back to ICG for the correct designation. Just hope no one gets burned.
Another good way to tell is in the "E.Pluribus Unum" the "U"s are lined up in the Type 1 but not in the Type 2.... I don't know if this will work, but see the picture, crappy pic but you get the idea...

Check out a Vanguard Roth IRA.
Good eye for catching that one.

PS....looks like it didn't sell
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
