    Looks like a late Soho striking from Droz 1/2d dies, DH 11 I believe from looking at Peck (borrowed from spinaker).

    Sure isn't! There is a note regarding the dies for DH 11 being rusted, appears that the dies weren't taken care of either.

    Aaargh! You would think somebody with such an interesting coin would be a sufficiently advanced numismatist to know that proof is a method of manufacture, not a condition!

    Neat item. Too bad it wasn't better preserved, but I still like it.
