Anyone know/buy from this ebay seller?

bigdcoins?

Here is one of his auctions for Morgans (which is what he seems to sell) and he seems to downplay his "grading" of the coins, but then used hyperbole with this one.

Just wondering others opinions of the seller/his coins.

Thanks

Linky

Here is part of his description (the part relating to the actual coin):
This one may very well have been bounceing around Jesse James money bags, it may have been shot at,,tossed around the saloon bar tops or perhaps it was flipped to decide some poor cowboys fate. God knows whats been done to this one but man if these could talk... Your bidding on a piece of history here so good luck. Camera is making these look dark but they are all white unless otherwise noted.*********************************** I have been accused of undergrading and am fairly conservative so you can rest assured, when I say GEM, it is at least an ms65....not an EB65 (e-bay 65)

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Nowhere near a 65 -- in fact, it appears to have been cleaned.

I am curious what makes it look cleaned, what do you look for?

If you read the description, he does not grade this coin MS65. He states: "I will give a very brief description to expedite,, and let ya'll decide the grades" I don't know the guy, but he starts it out at .99 and a buy it now of $40, so he isn't trying to rip anybody off.

That's not a good example of a cleaned coin but if you look close you can see lines on the obv field between Liberty's chin and the stars and also on each side of the date which may or may not be from some kind of abrasive cleaning. Also the stains on the right side of the obv could have been caused by a chemical cleaning or from where tone was dipped off. The close up of the rev shows a surface that clearly isn't a Mint State surface and even the normal photo of the obv shows worn details and it's really shiny for a circulated coin so I'd say the chances are good it has been cleaned but I wouldn't swear to it on the pictures.
Whether or not it is cleaned is not important at all since the seller is trying to pass it off as a $1,000 coin and it's something that I wouldn't buy if it was only $10.

I'm not trying to bash anybody, but English Comprehension goes along way in this auction. Nowhere does he describe this coin as MS65! Read, take your blinders off and try to comprehend what he is saying. This is his description of the coin: This one may very well have been bounceing around Jesse James money bags, it may have been shot at,,tossed around the saloon bar tops or perhaps it was flipped to decide some poor cowboys fate. God knows whats been done to this one but man if these could talk... Your bidding on a piece of history here so good luck. Camera is making these look dark but they are all white unless otherwise noted
    .
The other part, which he clearly separates from the description says: I have been accused of undergrading and am fairly conservative so you can rest assured, when I say GEM, it is at least an ms65....not an EB65 (e-bay 65) is in all his auctions and relates to how he grades Gem Coins. Come on guys, wake up!

Michael's quite right, and I wasn't trying to imply the coin I listed the link to was stated as MS. It wasn't.
I believe most all of his other coins are, and he uses the same text in all his auctions (aside from coin specific portions).

The thing is, that many of his coins appears to be very white, so I do believe there is dipping involved by someone in his supply chain.

Here is a link to all his current auctions:
    Link to auctions

And, here is alink to the first one in the list, that he does list as MS65 (RAW):

    MS65 auction

I like the prices, and I like the "general" look of many of his coins, but there is something gnawing at me and I can't pull the trigger to bid on some of them I may want.
That was why I was wondering how others felt or if they had dealt with him (since many people on here are WAY more knowledgeable with the Morgans than I am)

Get real Dixon. My English Comprehension is just fine.
According to you since the seller uses ****************************************** to separate his text from this auction and actually means that it applies to his other auctions, then he says absolutely nothing about this coin since everything after the 2nd sentence is seperated by 3 ******* lines, other than it is a Jessie James Rainbow in the title.
I musta have got cunfused when he said:
<<<30 + RAINBOWS going up for auction tomorrow (Sunday until next Sunday),
Have A few quality morgans up for sale today
All were handpicked for their eye appeal
    are exceptional for their grades.
I have been accused of undergrading
    am fairly conservative
when I say GEM, it is at least an ms65....not an EB65 (e-bay 65) .
    Gems are my speciality>>>
because I thought if that description was in auction #2202249253 then it applied to the coin in auction #2202249253.

Trust me Frank, my good ol' dog-man, I had NO plans to bid on THAT coin. I just linked to it first as an example since I found it humurous that it mentions Jesse James like that.
Heck, any circ dollar in the right years could have been held by jesse james or any other notable at that time. I find that "suggestion" in an ebay auction to be as irritating as L@@K is.

Some of his other coins are interesting, but, scary since they all seem dipped, etc.
